Clinical focus

The main attention in surgical activities is paid to minimally invasive treatment of fractures of the humeral head and arthroscopic treatment of pathologies of the shoulder joint.

Range of services: implantation and replacement of shoulder prostheses, arthroscopic correction of the rotator cuff, revisions after unsuccessful rupture of the rotator cuff, treatment of fractures of the humeral head and long-term consequences, arthroscopic and open stabilization of the shoulder after dislocation, early osteoarthritis of the shoulder, cartilage regeneration, calcified shoulder ( calcific tendinitis of the shoulder), frozen shoulder syndrome (adhesive capsulitis).

Biography

Dr. Tauber received his education at the Medical University of Innsbruck. 2002 – internship at the University of Bologna with passing the state exam in Italian.

Until 2004, general surgical and orthopedic internship in South Tyrol.

2004 – internship at the university clinic of traumatology and sports traumatology.

2008 – Doctoral work at the Paracelsus Medical University in Salzburg on the topic “Use of the pectoralis major muscle in reconstructive shoulder surgery.”

2009 – retraining of doctors under the guidance of chief physician Dr. Frank Hoffmann at the Rosenheim Clinic in the department of orthopedics and sports traumatology, then chief physician and scientific director of the university clinic of traumatology and sports traumatology in Salzburg.

Since October 2010, Prof. Tauber works at the German Shoulder Center at the ATOS Clinic in Munich.

Author of more than 130 scientific publications.
