Biography

Dr. Willibald Walter completed his medical education at Ludwig Maximilian University of Munich (LMU) and the University of Leipzig. He went on to specialize in orthopedics and trauma surgery at several leading German centers, including:

  • Center for Orthopedics and Sports Orthopedics, Munich-Bogenhausen
  • Traunstein and Trostberg Clinics
  • SANA Clinic Munich-Sendling
  • Schön Klinik Bad Aibling

After completing his clinical training, Dr. Walter focused on interventional pain therapy for the spine and joints, as well as bioregenerative medicine. With more than 20 years of hands-on clinical experience, he combines precision-guided injection techniques, advanced minimally invasive procedures, and state-of-the-art regenerative treatments to provide individualized, evidence-based care.

Dr. Walter also has extensive experience in sports medicine. He has served as a physician at international competitions in bobsleigh, skeleton, and luge, as well as at WTA tennis tournaments. As a former elite athlete and German national champion himself, he brings unique insight into musculoskeletal performance and injury prevention.

Together with Dr. Martin Marianowicz, he is co-author of the well-known book “Osteoarthritis Can Be Cured.”
