The specialist in internal medicine and cardiology was a senior physician in preventive sports medicine and sports cardiology at the Technical University of Munich for many years until he opened his own practice. His areas of expertise include the prevention of sudden cardiac death in athletes and the effects of physical training on patients with heart and vascular diseases. Axel Preßler is a member of the most important German and European committees for sports cardiology.
