Prof. Hentrich studied medicine at the Universities of Bonn, TU Munich, Vienna, London and in the USA
After receiving his diploma, he worked as an assistant doctor and internship doctor in the IV medical department of the Munich-Harlaching City Hospital, the academic clinical hospital of the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich
Then – assistant doctor at the Medical Clinic and Polyclinic III, Klinikum Großhadern of the Ludwig-Maximilian University of Munich
Habilitation on the topic “Aspects of chemotherapy in patients with immunosuppression: treatment of HIV-associated malignant neoplasms and infectious complications” defended at the department of Prof. Dr. med. W. Hiddemann, Ludwig Maximilian University, Munich
Later, he was promoted to Chief Physician and Leading Chief Physician at the Clinic for Oncology, Hematology and Palliative Medicine, Klinikum Harlaching, Munich
Since 2015 – Head of the Department of Internal Medicine III – Hematology and Oncology at the Red Cross Hospital in Munich
Since 2019 – Medical Director of the Red Cross Clinic in Munich.
