Clinical focus

Shoulder surgery: rotator cuff – arthroscopic reconstruction and revision surgery, shoulder girdle fractures: treatment of fractures of the humeral head, scapula and clavicle.

Shoulder dislocation: arthroscopic and open methods of stabilization, acromion and sternoclavicular joint: stabilization with arthroscopic support after acute and chronic rupture of the acromial joint; stabilization for sternoclavicular joint instability, decalcification of calcified shoulder, arthrolysis for frozen shoulder, prostheses: anatomical and reverse procedures.

Elbow surgery: arthroscopic removal of loose bodies, treatment of insertional tendinopathies of the elbow joint (epicondylitis), treatment of instability of the elbow joint, neurolysis for nerve entrapment syndromes in the elbow joint.

Sports orthopedics: treatment of sports-orthopedic and sports-traumatological emergencies.

Biography

  • After training, he worked and advanced his qualifications at the University Hospital Mannheim, at the ATOS Clinic in Heidelberg, at the Stedman Clinic, Colorado, USA, and at the Department of Sports Medicine at the Klinikum Rechts der Isar, Technical University of Munich.

  • Since 2015 – in the team of the German shoulder joint treatment center at the ATOC Clinic in Munich.
  • 2020 – professorship awarded by the Technical University of Munich.
